Do Junk Removal Companies Recycle?

Great Question! The answer is, Yes! For quite a while, and even still, there has been a perception that exists when it comes to junk removal companies that we all just take junk to the dump for a quick buck. Other perceptions are that we all drive beat up pickup trucks, haul around trash all day and take it all back to our trailer in the country where we hoard the stuff we want and burn the rest so we don’t have to pay disposal fees.First of all, I think that stereotype is hilarious and partially true because we actually know of companies that do exactly that! That’s no Bueno! However, that stereotype is false! Those methods are unethical, illegal and represent a large disservice to our planet.

So, Do Junk Removal Companies Recycle?

Do Junk Removal Companies Recycle items like these?

We are all tenants of the earth and once our lease is up our space will be taken up by someone else. We should all make an effort, as good tenants, to leave this place a little better than we found it. If you are super motivated than you will try to leave it a lot better than what you found it.

At Fire Dawgs Junk Removal, one way that we try to do our part, among many others, is by recycling, reusing, repurposing or donating as many of the items that we haul away as possible. The absolute last thing we do is take things to the dump or “burn it in the country burn pile.” Those methods, albeit at times necessary (the dump that is) can be harmful to the environment.

We recycle metals, plastics, cardboard, e-waste, tv’s, organic waste, brush, tree limbs, leaves and much more. Right now in our junk removal operation, we are able to recycle, reuse, repurpose or donate a minimum of 50-60% of the items that we remove.

We are always trying to increase that number so that when customers ask, “Do Junk Removal Companies Recycle?” we can answer them yes, but also answer them with a number we are proud of. 50-60% is a good start, but we want to be between 90-100%
