Is there a discount if the items are curbside? Yes. If customers are needing items removed and they are willing to take care of the initial removal process by setting the items out by the curb, or piling them up outside near the house thereby making our job much easier, then we will accommodate those customers by offering them a reduced price. We can do this one of two ways.
1. We can schedule a regular appointment time, which is a two hour arrival window, and take of the removal during that time window. If we have to perform the removal service this way, then we will still need to charge our minimum, and maybe more, depending on the amount of debris needing removed. For example, we can’t charge $105 for a full 15.5 cubic yards whether the items are at the curb or not because that would make us operate at a loss after incurring a dump fee, fuel, payroll, etc. However, we will be able to drastically reduce the price.
For example, if we normally would have charged $180-250 for a full pickup truck load or more, we would not be able to offer that for between $105-180 which is about a $70 discount. This is just an example and every load is different, but it at least provides some much needed perspective for those customers who just need some curbside items picked up.
2. The second way we could perform a service like this, and perhaps even provide a bigger discount, is if we don’t have to schedule a two hour arrival window. You see, we care about customer service and always try to schedule appointment times we are confident that we can keep, thereby giving customers quality expectations. However, in order to do so, we have to schedule those appointments will full price jobs so that we don’t operate the day on a loss (Read the article on the cost of junk removal by Clicking Here). That being said, if we are able to schedule your pickup in a larger window time or on a day when we are going to be in your area, then we will be able to provide a curbside pickup for much cheaper. In example, if you just had a couple TVs that needed picked up and you could set them out curbside, then we would be able to perform a service like that for $80, whereas our normal minimum appointment cost would be $105.
